The first Center for Creative Economy & Innovation in South Korea was set up in Daegu City in September 2014. Ever since then, a total of 19 Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation (CCEI) have been established in cities and provinces all across South Korea. All the centers are operated by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED). Therefore, this shows the Korean government’s dedication to an innovative and creative economy.

Data shows that to date, CCEI helped over 1,200 startups in Korea increase their sales revenue which has led to the hiring of over 1,400 employees. Startups at these centers have made great contributions to the Korean economy by creating competitive products and services. With the support of the government, many startups now have a chance to not only succeed in Korea but globally as well. Furthermore, there has been a rise in the number of South Korean startups creating partnerships with global startup incubators, VCs, and investors through the global networks of large corporations that are a part of the Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation.

Below is a map of all the CCEI centers across South Korea.
