Bundle of Rays – Immersive Learning through Virtual Experiences

In today’s world, the healthcare industry is constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. To stay on top of these changes and to provide effective care, health professionals need to be able to access the latest research, explore emerging technologies, and interact with other experts in the field. Bundle of Rays has developed a platform that empowers health professionals to be better skilled and qualified to promote timely, informed decisions about patient care.

Their platform can quickly and effectively immerse them in an engaging educational experience centered around cutting-edge technologies like VR and AR. They aim to develop important skills and bolster their knowledge base, allowing them to provide better care for their patients today and in the future.

Nursing Education Using VR Technology

The idea for Bundle of Rays was started in 2018 by Brad Chesham with the concept of training healthcare professionals. The idea came from working as a front-line nurse in busy hospitals in Australia and the UK, plus serving in Afghanistan and Iraq as a battlefield nurse. Using AR and VR technology, he aimed to revolutionize nursing education by making it not only interactive and engaging but also fun.

Bundle of Rays allows users to fully immerse themselves in real-world situations. These immersive lectures allow users to not only learn from anywhere but also learn at their own pace. While there are many benefits to traditional classrooms, they also have certain drawbacks. One such drawback is that they can be limited in size and accessibility. Virtual classrooms, on the other hand, offer all of the benefits of traditional classroom environments but without limitations.

Throughout all modules, the user fully controls environments and explorations within the virtual classroom. In addition, users can combine modules into bundles. Some of the modules offered by Bundle of Rays include:

  • Acute Care
  • Aged Care
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Cardiology
  • Chronic Illness
  • Clinical Deterioration
  • Critical Care
  • Illnesses and Diseases
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Mechanical Ventilation
  • Mental Health
  • Neurology
  • and more

Extended Reality Healthcare Education

Bundle of Rays is designed to work with all major VR headsets. When it comes to healthcare education, VR applications are already on the rise when it comes to medical training and education. This is because virtual worlds offer very little risk when it comes to training and can help speed up the development of patients regarding motor skills and memory. Those interested in giving Bundle of Rays can do so by following these steps.

  • Make an account on Bundle of Rays
  • Log in and enter one of eight VR platforms
  • Users can jump between platforms for recorded teachings
  • There are also “live” sessions with experts, nurses, and students

Since its launch, Bundle of Rays has seen a 300% year-on-year growth. They have expanded into the United States, the UK, Brazil, Australia, and South Korea.
